Useful links and contacts for disability access issues in Cambridge and the surrounding area.
For any information on disability in Cambridgeshire, I can’t do better than this top new website: www.disabilitycambridgeshire.org.uk
It offers a free directory of organisations in Cambridgeshire providing services to disabled people and/or older people and their carers. It also offers ‘Signpost’ service of factsheets on a wide range of disability-related issues. On top of that, it will start you off with a free ‘first-step’ Homepage for local organisations who do not currently have a website.
The project is a ChangeUp inititative and is being worked on by, amongst others, Directions Plus. Big thanks and praise to them
Details of shops and services providing disability and communication aids can also be found on the Shop Till You Drop page
